i am a BIG fan of everything that tracery interiors does, and knew when we planned our trip to florida i knew that i was going to sneak in a visit to tracery's store in rosemary beach. rosemary beach is a master planned beach community located along the panhandle of florida, between destin and panama city beach.

the store is nestled along the pretty shops and eateries on the south side of rosemary beach's retail area, just a stones throw away from the ocean.

the store is just beautiful inside and is full of unique and interesting items. some of the walls are a soft neutral and others are a gorgeous charcoal color.  i have to admit, that i had some pretty high expectations about what the store would be like, and it exceeded them all.

i fell in love with this chair--in particular, the white welting with the yellow fabric. i love it paired with the abstract shell motif pillow and aluminum table.

some dwell studios pillows mix with baskets and metal accent pieces.

isn't this light great?

the store has this amazing variety of classic pieces mixed with more bold and graphic items.

i found myself *sighing a LOT, and wanting to hang out all day. it was like disney world for design addicts.

some custom headboards....

i loved that the furniture and accessories have a beachy vibe without being "in your face" beachy.

the selections are creative, unique and beautifully staged.

if you are in the area, be sure and stop in tracery in rosemary beach! it is one of the prettiest stores i have ever been inside.

when i opened up my latest issue of traditional home, i was really drawn to one particular home. it had a layered, casual elegance to it that i found really appealing. as i read the story, i was surprised to learn that the decorator of the home is the homeowner, virginia mary brown, a former corporate attorney and mother of 4 boys. she claims that she is "addicted to home design books and magazines and to decorator showhouses", and the design of her home is inspired by the many showcase houses she has toured.

what i love:

the grey doors!!

the very traditional sofa upholstered in crisp white and paired with a sisal rug.
the blue chairs.

the very traditional dining table and chippendale chairs are balanced with a textural, graphic rug. in fact, you can find similar ones right now at west elm.

i adore the sliding barn doors...we did similar looking doors in the basement of house #5.

what i am loving here:

the soft grey cabinets.

the lights over the kitchen window.

the metal chairs around the wood table.

oh, and that STOVE. me wants it.

i think i spy some silk curtains! (yum!) notice all of the pairs in this room?

love this. every inch of wall space is used....i want to redo the portrait wall in our house to look similar to this.

the accents of gold and lavender really make this room beautiful.

so, what do you think? with enough time and money, do you think you could pull off the design of your dream house....or would you bring in a professional designer?

Just beautiful and oh so glamourous { I adore the wine glass display, just devine} I'm off to search for more for tomorrow's post, Have a glorious day! xx
